Nipton, CA: Vehicle rollover with people trapped along Interstate 15.

According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, at around 7:44pm PT on Monday, June 6th, 2016, units from San Bernardino County Fire Department and Barstow Marine Corp Logistics Base Fire Department responded to a single vehicle rollover with patients trapped on the Interstate 15 at Cima Road near Nipton, California.

The first fire unit on scene was San Bernardino County Fire Department ’s E-53, which is stationed in Baker, California 30 miles south of the incident.

The crew from E-53 found 2 adult patients trapped in the vehicle and immediately began using extrication equipment to gain access to the patients.

Extrication took approximately seven minutes to complete.

A patient had major injuries and was transported to a trauma center in Las Vegas, Nevada the other was pronounced deceased on scene.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by California Highway Patrol.

The announcement was held in front of the 7 Eleven Store, located at 4092 Chino Hills Parkway near Pipeline Avenue, in Chino Hills, California where somebody purchased the winning California Powerball winning ticket.

At the 3 Powerball winning tickets for $1.5 billion dollars were sold in 3 states in the United States of America.

Balbir Atwal, owner of the 7 Eleven Store, received a bonus check for $1 million dollars and said to the crowd of news reporters that he is happy to be with the 7 Eleven and will give some of the $1 million dollars to charity.

According to NBC affiliate KNBC Channel 4, Balbir Atwal moved to the United States from India in the early 1980’s and opened four 7 Eleven Stores about 21 years ago.

Balbir Atwal described the celebration at the 7 Eleven Store in Chino Hills, California as a big family party with hundreds of people cheering “Chino Hills, Chino Hills!!”.

California Lottery Officials are saying that the winner who purchased the winning Powerball winning ticket in Chino Hills, California has not come forward yet, but will release a press release when that winner does come forward.

On Wednesday, January 13th, 2016,  Powerball Lottery Officials reported that a Powerball winning ticket of $1.5 billion dollars was purchased in Chino Hills, California.

According to a tweet on Twitter from the California Lottery, “We have a winner in California! A jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Chino Hills. We’re still awaiting results from other states.”

California Lottery Officials announced that there was 2 other winners in Tennessee and Florida that purchased the Powerball winning ticket.

M. Faroqui, 7 Eleven Clerk, celebrated after learning his 7 Eleven Store in Chino Hills, California sold a winning Powerball ticket on Wednesday, January 13th, 2016.

“The last three days, very crazy busy. I’m very happy,” M. Faroqui said to NBC affiliate KNBC Channel 4.

At least 12 Powerball tickets were sold in California that matched all 5 numbers, excluding the Powerball number.
