Breaking News!!: Hesperia, CA: San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputy shot by armed robber who’s still at large.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, an armed robber shot at a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department deputy in the chest on Thursday, March 16th, 2017 in Hesperia, California.
Deputies responded to a robbery at 12:45am PT near a Chevron Gas Station located on Ranchero Road and Escondido Avenue.
The deputy confronted a robbery suspect at the gas station and tried to pepper-spray the man, who then brandished a gun and opened fire,

The robber, captured on surveillance video, fled in a black Chrysler 200 with paper plates.
The suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous.
The deputy has been identified by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department as Pat Higgins, who was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said that the deputy’s bulletproof vest likely saved his life.

Breaking News!!: Needles, CA: Car crash in front of the Westside Chevron Gas Station.
A red car crashes into a palm tree and sign at the Westside Chevron Gas Station located at 2321 Needles Highway in Needles, California.
The crash happened at around 7:00pm PT on Sunday, July 12th, 2015 and right in front of ZachNews Journalist Zachary A. Lopez as he was getting dinner at the Panda Garden Restaurant across the street from the Westside Chevron Gas Station.
The car was heading westbound on the right left lane of Needles Highway and picked up speed zipping by as the car passes T Street, but then the car cross the double yellow lines at the turn, crossed over traffic, and smashed into a palm tree and small Westside Chevron Gas Station sign.
Witnesses as well as customers from the Westside Chevron Gas Station and the Panda Garden Restaurant including ZachNews Journalist Zachary A. Lopez ran to the crash and called 911 as the driver was talking and moving.
Near by, a wildfire crew that was at the Westside Chevron Gas Station rushed over to the crash to see if everybody was alright.
The driver and passenger got out of the car on their own as San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, San Bernardino County Fire Department, and an ambulance from Baker Emergency Medical Services rushed to the car crash.
A San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department deputy was seen giving the driver a D.U.I. test.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputies tells ZachNews that the driver was arrested for Felony D.U.I.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputies also tells ZachNews that the passenger suffered a neck injury after the crash.
The passenger was seen being treated by Baker Emergency Medical Services.
ZachNews was shown a video for the car crash captured from a near by surveillance camera at the Westside Chevron Gas Station.
