Pasadena, California: The 134th Rose Parade presented by Honda will start at 8:00 a.m. PST on Monday, January 2nd, 2023.

The parade is being held on Monday instead of Sunday to follow the parade’s “No Sunday” rule, a rule that was implemented in 1893 to accommodate church services.

The parade will feature many entries, including the parade’s famed floral floats, marching bands and equestrian units, plus the Rose Queen and entire Royal Court.

The theme for the 134th Rose Parade is “Turning the Corner,” and the grand marshal is former Arizona Congresswoman Gabby Giffords.

There will be a special performance by Fitz and The Tantrums! and the Opening Spectacular will be featured aboard Honda’s inspirational float, “Forever Determined.”

The 104th Rose Queen for the 134th Rose Parade is High school senior Bella Ballard, which Ballard and and her royal court will be featured in the parade.

Each year, the parade will follow a 5.5-mile route going 2.5 mph, starting along South Orange Grove Boulevard at Green Street heading northbound then turn right onto Colorado Boulevard, head eastbound along Colorado Boulevard then turn left onto South Sierra Madre Boulevard, head northbound along South Sierra Madre Boulevard concluding at Villa Street.

These roadways along with side streets and any off-ramps leading to the streets will be closed during the parade.

According to the City of Pasadena, a Temporary Flight Restriction will be in place for both the parade and the Rose Bowl game; anybody who attempts to fly a drone will be subject to fine, arrest and/or imprisonment.

Live broadcast of the 134th Rose Parade on many news outlets, including Los Angeles’ KTLA (Channel 5), ABC, NBC and Univision are available either by over-the-air broadcast or cable/satellite, while RDF-TV and Hallmark Drama Channel are available on certain cable and satellite systems; please check your local television listings for more details.

To stream the Rose Parade, cable/satellite subscribers can watch those channels via authenticated platforms. Or many of those channels can be found via live TV streaming services such as Hulu with Live TV, SlingTV, YouTube TV, DirectTV Stream or FuboTV.
