Downtown Needles, California: Palo Verde College Needles Center held a Festival of Trees on Route 66 during the Needles Holiday Fun Fair and Lighted Parade on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022.
People attending the event were greeted by the beautiful lighted and decorated trees on displayed, decorated by a variety of participants, including Needles Unified School District, TKO Distribution, Needles Youth Development and Education Foundation, Fort Mojave Tribal Utilities Authority, County of San Bernardino, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Needles Community Partners, Big O Tires and the Palo Verde College Campus in Blythe, California (full list of participants being added soon).
People got to vote on their favorite tree, and the tree with the most votes would receive accolades, a party and goodies.
According to an email to ZachNews from Palo Verde College’s Needles Center Dean Jaclyn Randall, M.S., the winner of the Festival of Trees on Route 66 was Fort Mojave Tribal Utilities Authority with over 400 voters.
Well there people got to purchase delicious treats from a bake sale, got to take pictures with Mr and Mrs Claus and got to learn a little bit about the Needles Center.
ZachNews was also informed by Palo Verde College’s Needles Center Dean Jaclyn Randall, M.S. that they have extended the silent auction through 4:00 p.m. PT on Thursday, December 8th, 2022, with the goal to raise at least $500.00 for Needles student scholarships.
Anybody wanting to participate in the silent auction can come to local college campus located at 725 West Broadway near E Street during college campus from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PT on Monday or from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. PT Wednesday and Thursday, and check in with Talana Wade.
