Newberry Springs, California: The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Coroner’s Division and California Highway Patrol has confirmed and released the identity of the person who died in a fatality vehicle crash along westbound Interstate 40 just east of Fort Cady Road on Sunday, November 27th, 2022.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Coroner’s Division, “At 2:05 PM, California Highway Patrol officers responded to mile marker 27 on Interstate 40 in Newberry Springs for a traffic collision. Ronald Matson, a 60-year-old resident of Winchester, California was pronounced dead at the scene.”
The California Highway Patrol hasn’t yet provided any feature details regarding the second occupant in the crash who was transported on a Mercy Air helicopter to Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital.
