Breaking News: Riverside County, CA: Riverside County Sheriff’s Office confirms wanted suspect Garrett Cole from Bakersfield, California has been arrested.

Riverside County, California: The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office have confirmed that wanted suspect Garrett Cole from Bakersfield, California has been arrested during the morning on Friday, October 7th, 2022.

Cole had an outstanding arrest warrant for murder kidnapping and robbery regarding a homicide that occurred in September 2022.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, during the early hours of Friday, September 23rd, 2022, officers responded to reports of suspicious circumstances at a residence on the 300 block of Real Road.

Officers said they found evidence of foul play had occurred at the home, and several suspects were taken into custody during the investigation before robbery and homicide detectives from the Bakersfield Police Department took over.

Officers from the Bakersfield Police Department later arrested Juan Toscano, 34, for murder after admitting he had shot and killed a subject at the residence during an illegal drug deal.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the victims body was removed from the residence by other suspects.

Toscano was booked into the Kern County Jail for murder.

On Wednesday, October 5th, 2022, BPD arrested 3 additional suspects related to the case: Javier Ontiveros, 25, Johnny Vega, 29, and Edrich Esquer-Rubio, 21.

Vega and Ontiveros were taken into custody without incident.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, Ontiveros attempted to escape from police while during an interview but was quickly apprehended.

They were all booked into the Kern County Jail.

A few hours ago today, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office posted a press release regarding Bakersfield Police Department searching for wanted suspect Garrett Cole.

According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, “On Tuesday (10/4), detectives with the Bakersfield Police Department contacted the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office advising that they were investigating a homicide that occurred in their jurisdiction in late September of 2022. BPD Detectives had identified multiple suspects in their case and had reason to believe some of the suspects had traveled to Fort Mohave, AZ, after the homicide. Deputies and Detectives with Mohave County Sheriff’s Office assisted by executing a search warrant in the 2200 block of Flathead Road in Fort Mohave on Wednesday (10/5). BPD Detectives were able to obtain information indicating the victim in the case had been murdered in California, transported to Fort Mohave, AZ, then buried in the desert off Boundary Cone Rd. in Mohave Valley, AZ. BPD Detectives were able to locate the burial site and the homicide victim was exhumed by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and turned over to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office on Thursday (10/6). Multiple suspects in the case are in custody in California, however one is still outstanding. Garrett Sebastian Cole, 31 of Bakersfield, currently has an outstanding warrant for charges of Murder, Kidnapping and Robbery. Cole has family that lives in the area, and he is considered armed and dangerous. Cole is described as 5’8” tall, approximately 215 pounds, with dark hair, hazel eyes, and facial hair with numerous tattoos covering his neck.”

ZachNews began checking into this and found out from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office that the wanted suspect Garrett Cole from Bakersfield, California has been arrested during the morning by the SWAT Team along with officers from the Bakersfield Police Department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team.
