Homer, California: A semi truck with trailer crashes into bridge along eastbound Interstate 40 just east of Water Road.

The incident was reported at 4:49 a.m. PT on Wednesday, October 5th, 2022 at Mile Marker 120.50.

Medical Engine 32 from San Bernardino County Fire Protection District along with Medical Ambulance 31 are responding.

Reports of damage to the semi truck, debris across lanes and fuel leaking.

A&G Towing Service has been called to respond to the incident.

Also reports that a UPS truck has the debris and has pulled to the side of the interstate near the incident.

As of 5:23 a.m. PT, Medical Ambulance 31A tells Comm-Center one patient delayed.

As of 5:26 p.m. PT, reports that Caltrans is responding for a “Hard Closure” of the #1 Lane of eastbound Interstate 40.

As of 5:30 a.m. PT. Medical Ambulance 31 tells Comm-Center that they are transporting patient to Colorado River Medical Center in Needles, California.

As of 5:42 a.m. PT, Medical Engine 32 has been cleared from the incident.

As of 5:50 a.m. PT, Medical Ambulance 31 tells Comm-Center that they have arrived with patient at Colorado River Medical Center in Needles, California.
