Barstow, CA: People came together to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the City of Barstow during a community event held last Saturday at the Historic Harvey House.

Barstow, California: People came together to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the City of Barstow during a community event held at the Historic Harvey House on Saturday, October 1st, 2022.

The City of Barstow held the community event along with other local groups and businesses to celebrate Barstow which was incorporated in September 1947 and this year marks its 75th Anniversary, and to commemorate this milestone anniversary.

From the City of Barstow Mayor Paul Anthony Courtney to the Third District San Bernardino County Supervisor Dawn Rowe, many local, county and state officials were in attendance for the celebration.

The celebration had free food, raffles and giveaways while supplies last, craft vendors, car show, bounce houses, trains, pumpkin patch and a beer and margarita garden.

During the celebration, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway announced plans to construct the new Barstow International Gateway.

Local officials for the City of Barstow as well as officials for the County of San Bernardino are very excited for the new Barstow International Gateway.

Congratulations to the City of Barstow on their 75th Anniversary, and thanks to everybody who attended the celebration and who participated in the celebration.
