Williams, Arizona: The National Weather Service in Flagstaff, Arizona has confirmed that an EF-1 tornado ripped through the Junipine Estates community on Monday, October 3rd, 2022.

According to the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, “at 1:30 p.m., the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a weather-related event in the Junipine Estates community, north of Williams.

The EF-1 tornado caused damages to 8-10 residences, but no injuries were immediately reported.

Deputies and detectives from the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office along with firefighters from the High Country Fire Rescue, Search and Rescue divisions and regional public safety resources have responded to the scene.

Damages reported from the EF-1 tornado includes trees ripped down, large storage structure damaged opened, wood shed and boat knocked over, and power lines and poles knocked down.

The American Red Cross has opened a shelter at 636 South 7th Street in Williams, Arizona to assists residents who may be displaced by the EF-1 Tornado.
