Barstow, California: Officers from the Barstow Police Department and a bomb detection K9 from Marine Corps Logistic Base responded and safely cleared Desert Community Bank after a bomb threat on Thursday, September 22nd, 2022.
According to the Barstow Police Department, at approximately 12:38 p.m., officers responded to the 900 block of Armory Rd. regarding a threat of a bomb.
Officers established a perimeter of the area and a bomb detection K9 from the Marine Corps Logistic Base responded to the scene and conducted an interior and exterior search of the building and rendered it safe.
Officers from the Barstow Police Department then conducted an additional search of the area and confirmed that it was safe.
Desert Community Bank was closed for a short period of time but, is now open.
