London, United Kingdom: The State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is being held at 11:00 a.m. London Time (3:00 a.m. PT) on Monday, September 19th, 2022.
Queen Elizabeth II, the United Kingdom’s longest-serving monarch, died at Balmoral on Thursday, September 8th, 2022 after reigning for 70 years.
The state funeral, reportedly one of the biggest logistical challenges in British history, will take place inside Westminster Abbey in London.
The Royal Family will be among many dignitaries from around the world attending the state funeral, including United States President Joe Biden, the Emperor of Japan Naruhito and French President Emmanuel Macron as well as an estimated 2,000 guests attending.
Reports that over 10,000 police officers from all over the country have been stationed in the capital as authorities expect record crowds along the funeral route.
Later during the afternoon, Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin will travel to Windsor Castle for a church service, and she will then be buried in a private ceremony afterwards.
