United States of America: Remembering the terrorist attacks on 9/11 that occurred 21 years ago today.

United States of America: People across the nation will be remembering the terrorist attacks on 9/11 that occurred 21 years ago today.

On Tuesday, September 11th, 2001, terrorists from the terrorist group Al-Qaeda hijacked several planes and crashed two hijacked planes into the World Trade Center in New York City, New York and crashed another hijacked plane the Pentagon in Washington, District of Columbia.

The terrorists also hijacked another plane, United Airlines Flight 93, to use on another attack, but their evil plans were prevented as brave men and women passengers and crew members fought the terrorist hijackers and prevented another terrorist attack.

The United Airlines Flight 93 crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania killing all of the passengers and crew members on board the passenger plane.

Approximately 2,974 people were killed in total during the terrorist attacks, including 2,750 people killed in New York, 184 people killed at the Pentagon in Washington, DC, and 40 people were killed aboard United Airlines Flight 93 when the plane crashed.
Also among the lives lost, approximately 400 police officers and firefighters were killed at the scene of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center when the Twin Towers collapsed.

The death toll from the terrorist attacks on 9/11 continues to rise to this day as those who worked at Ground Zero of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center succumb to related illnesses.

According to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, 3,946 members of the World Trade Center Health Program, which supports first responders and survivors on-site during and after the 9/11 attacks, have died.

The terrorist attacks also left over 25,000 people injured; and over $10 billion dollars in property and infrastructure damages.

On Sunday, September 11th, 2022, memorial services, tributes, ceremonies and community events will be held to remember the victims and honor the heroes that rushed towards danger to save lives during the terrorist attacks on 9/11.

May we never forget all of the victims we lost on 9/11, may we always give thanks everyday to all of our emergency responders and volunteers who rushed towards danger to help save lives, and may we always give thanks everyday to everybody in our military for fighting against evil terrorists and protecting our country freedoms that evil terrorists want to destroy and divide us; may we never be divided and always remember to stand strong and united together.
