Breaking News: Mohave Valley, AZ: Residential structure and vegetation fire burning off Old West Drive just west of Bridle Lane sends a person with burns to hospital.

Mohave Valley, Arizona: A residential structure and vegetation fire is burning off Old West Drive just west of Bridle Lane.

ZachNews was alerted about the fire at 4:12 p.m. PT on Saturday, August 6th, 2022 from local resident Krikit Glass; dark smoke spotted towards the east in Arizona.

ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary Lopez arrived on scene as firefighters from Mohave Valley Fire Department, Fort Mojave Mesa Fire, Golden Shores Fire Department, Bullhead City Fire Department and San Bernardino County Fire District surrounded the property and began to go into defensive mode to protect other near by residential structures.

Deputies from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Fort Mojave Tribal Police Department were spotted on scene closing surrounding streets including Old West Drive.

Mohave Valley Fire Department tells ZachNews that a victim, the occupant of the property, was transport to Sunrise via Classic Air Medical after being transported to a nearby ambulance by a deputy from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

As of 5:49 p.m. PT, Mohave Valley Fire Department tells ZachNews that the fire is contained onto the property and firefighters will remain on scene mopping up.

The cause of residential structure and vegetation fire is not yet known.

ZachNews and the people of the Colorado River Tri-State communities hope the victim of the residential structure and vegetation fire gets healed and well soon, and thank all of the hospital doctors, nurses and staff working to save lives.
