Barstow, California: Officers from the Barstow Police Department arrested 2 local people on Tuesday, July 19th, 2022 for possession of firearms, fictitious checks and narcotics while armed, and prohibited person possession of ammunition.
According to the Barstow Police Department, at approximately 12:18 PM, Crime Impact Detective Andrew Hollister and additional Barstow Police Officers conducted a follow-up investigation in reference to fraud and the illegal possession of firearms at a residence in the 400 block of West Fredricks Street.
At approximately 1:00 PM, Officers obtained and served a search warrant at the residence in the 400 block of West Fredricks Street. During the search, officers located and detained Travon Williams, a 22-year-old Barstow resident and Eric Spinks, a 23-year-old Barstow resident. Inside the residence, detectives located fictitious checks, methamphetamine, prescription narcotics and five loaded handguns, one of which was stolen. A records check revealed Williams and Spinks were convicted felons.
Williams and Spinks were placed under arrest and booked at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Barstow Jail for PC 29800 (a)(1) – Felon in Possession of Firearms, PC 30305 (a)(1) – Prohibited Person in Possession of Ammunition, H&S 11370.1 (a) – Possession of Narcotics While Armed and PC 476 – Possession of Fictitious Checks.
