Needles, CA: Deputies arrested 2 local people during the night last Monday after assaulting a person with a bat.

Needles, California: Deputies arrested 2 local people on Monday, July 18th, 2022 after assaulting a person with a bat.

According to a press release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at approximately 9:19 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to a report of an assault near the 1900 block of Clary Drive in Needles.

Through investigation, deputies determined Michael Gonzales assaulted the victim with a bat causing injury.  Medical responded to the scene and treated the victim for his injuries.

Michael Gonzales was arrested for PC 245(A)(4) – Assault With a Deadly Weapon, and was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking.  Gonzales remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department with a bail amount of $50,000, awaiting a court hearing.

Jacqueline Gonzales was arrested for PC 32 – Conspiracy, and was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking.  Gonzales remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department with a bail amount of $25,000, awaiting a court hearing.
