Needles, California: A local man arrested after shooting a person with a high powered pellet rifle Sunday, July 10th, 2022 along the 100 block of North K Street causing serious injury.
According to a press release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at approximately 5:35 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to a report of an assault with a weapon, near the 100 block of K Street.
Through investigation, deputies determined Santiago Escobar shot the victim with a high powered pellet rifle, causing serious injury. The victim was transported to the Colorado River Medical Center for treatment.
Escobar was arrested for PC 245(A)(4) – Assault With a Deadly Weapon and was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Escobar remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department with a bail amount of $50,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
