Needles, California: A regular meeting of the Needles City Council (N.C.C.) was held on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022.

During the regular meeting, Lindsey Payson and Donna McCorkle presented a presentation to members of the Needles City Council and the public regarding the Needles Military Moms Banner Program.

During the presentation, Lindsey Payson discussed the 6 feet tall by 30 inches wide banners that will include the service members military photo and name.

There’s no cost to the service member’s family for having a banner installed.

Donna McCorkle told members of the Needles City Council that 5 local graduates from Needles High School Class of 2022 who have joined the military, and once they’re completed military service will also going up on the banners.

Plans are to start install the banners along West Broadway in the Downtown Needles, California area with hopes to install banners along Needles Highway from K Street to Interstate 40.

In addition to the banners, Needles Military Moms is selling t-shirts with “Support & Defend” on the front and “RED” on the back to raise money for banners and other projects such as care packages.

The Needles Military Moms is an organization comprised of family and friends of active-duty service members in the armed forces.

Our primary purpose is to support families and honor those who are serving.

Additionally, Needles Military Moms provides community banners along the streets of the city to honor active-duty service members from Needles, California.
