Lake Forest, Illinois: North Chicago Police Department takes “Person of Interest” into police custody in deadly shooting during Fourth of July Parade in Downtown Highland Park, Illinois that was held on Monday, July 4th, 2022.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation in Chicago assisted the Lake County Major Crimes Task Force in Illinois with the search for 22 years old Robert “Bobby” E. Crimo III in his involvement in the deadly shooting.
The parade began around 10:00 a.m. CT when 10 minutes later shots were fired upon parade-goers by a man armed with a high power rifle.
Hundreds of parade-goers with some visibly bloodied fled the parade route, leaving behind chairs, baby strollers, plush toys, bicycles and blankets.
According to the Highland Park Police Department, 6 people were killed and 38 people are injured aging from 8 years old to 85 years old in the deadly shooting.

Monday evening, North Chicago Police Department took Robert “Bobby” E. Crimo III at Route 41 and Buckley Road after an officer tried to make a traffic stop on the vehicle at Westleigh Road and 41 in Lake Forest before leading authorities in a brief pursuit.
Great work to the North Chicago Police Department Officer for initially spotted the man, and all of the law enforcements and K9 Dogs in the search and taking into police custody Robert “Bobby” E. Crimo III.
