Breaking News: Needles, CA: Electrical vault box fire at Santiago Coronado Village.

Needles, California: An electrical vault box fire occurred at Santiago Coronado Village.

The fire was reported at around 2:50 p.m. PT on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022 along the 900 block of Coronado Street.

ZachNews began getting reports about dark smoke in the area, including this picture from Serra of the dark smoke from Sycamore Drive near Bailey Avenue.

Firefighters from the San Bernardino County Fire District’s Station 32 responded quickly to the were on scene, and began putting out the fire which smoke can be seen as far as Bailey Avenue at J Street.

Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station were also on scene.

Firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire, and no residential structures were damage in the fire.

Needles City Manager Rick Daniels confirms the fire was an electrical fire.

Utility crews from the City of Needles and Route 66 Broadband were on scene checking their equipment and making any repairs.
