Needles, California: An adjourned regular meeting of the Needles Recreation and Parks Commission (N.R.P.C.) was held on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022.

Agenda Item 2: Authorize the purchase of three (3) additional playground equipment pieces for Duke Watkins Park and one (1) main structure and ground cover for Jack Smith Park (Power Point presentation).

Members of the Needles Recreation and Parks Commission got to check out during a Power Point presentation the choices of new playground equipment pieces as well as pick how many hand sanitizer stations and benches they want for Duke Watkins Park, and what colors they would like for the new main playground structure for Jack Smith Memorial Park.

Members of the Needles Recreation and Parks Commission voted unanimously to authorize the purchase of 3 additional playground pieces; Merry-Go-Round, Tri-Spring Fling, Double Spring Rider and 4 benches for Duke Watkins Park, and one main playground structure and ground covering for Jack Smith Memorial Park to Pacific Play System; funding as part of the awarded SB-68 grant from California Department of Park and Recreation and per Capita Funds from SB-68.

The agenda item will go next to the Needles City Council during their upcoming meeting scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. PT on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022 inside the Needles City Council Chambers located at 1111 Bailey Avenue near J Street.
