Barstow, California: The Barstow Police Department announced in a press release that several people were arrested on Wednesday, June 15th, 2022 after search warrant was served at a residence along the 300 block of Pioneer Street regarding illegal narcotic sales.
According to the Barstow Police Department, at approximately 5:00 p.m. PT, Barstow PD detectives served a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Pioneer Street regarding illegal narcotic sales. Officers initiated an investigation after receiving multiple complaints regarding an illegal marijuana dispensary operating out of the residence. When officers arrived at the location, they found Phillip Anderson, Roxanne Anderson, and Roberto Duran inside of the location.
Detectives conducted a search per the search warrant and located several pounds of marijuana, approximately two ounces of Psilocybin mushrooms, and a quantity of cocaine. Detectives also found several operable digital scales, plastic baggies, and a .380 semi-automatic Ruger LCP Pistol with a loaded extended magazine. There was also multiple rounds of .223 ammunition, multiple rounds of .380 ammunition, and a pistol drum magazine. Further investigation into the occupants revealed that Phillip Anderson was in control of the residence. Officers also learned that Anderson is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing or owning any firearms or ammunition.
Roberto Duran was booked at the Barstow Police Department for H&S 11360 -Illegal Sales of Cannabis.
Roxanne Anderson was booked at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department High Desert Detention Center for H&S 11370.1 (a) – Possession of a Controlled Substance While Armed.
Phillip Anderson was booked at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department High Desert Detention Center for PC 29800 (a) (1) – Felon in Possession of a Firearm, PC 30305 (a) (1)- Prohibited Person in Possession of Ammunition, H&S 11370.1 (a)- Possession of a Controlled substance While Armed, and H&S 11360- Illegal Sales of Cannabis.
Operating a marijuana dispensary is illegal in the City of Barstow unless the owner has obtained a license/permit from the State of California and the City of Barstow and is operating within the City’s designated green zone. The City of Barstow has one (1) legal marijuana dispensary operating at this time.
