Barstow, California: The Barstow Police Department announced to the public on Wednesday, June 8th, 2022 that authorities have arrested several homicide suspects for a May 2022 deadly shooting of a man near Lillian Park.
According to the Barstow Police Department, at approximately 6:27 p.m. PT on Friday, May 13th, 2022, Barstow Police officers were dispatched to a shooting in the area of Lillian Park, in the 900 block of Villafana Street.
Officers arrived on scene and learned that the victim, a 23-year-old male, was transported to Barstow Community Hospital by his friends.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his neck and chest, and was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
Barstow Police Department Homicide Detectives assumed the investigation, and identified the suspects as James Hampton, a 33-year-old Adelanto resident, Allison Hampton, and 34-year-old Barstow resident, and Rasheed Bey, a 39-year-old Victorville resident.
Detectives were able to obtain arrest warrants for all three suspects.
On Thursday, June 2, 2022, at approximately 1:42 pm, Detective Helms received information that Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Hesperia Station conducted a traffic stop and arrested Allison Hampton and Rasheed Bey for their murder warrants. Detectives Helms and Sanchez responded to interview the suspects.
They both were later booked at High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto for PC 187- Murder.
On Friday, June 3, 2022, at approximately 6:38 P.M. Detective Sanchez was notified that officers from North Las Vegas Police Department, located James Hampton and arrested him without incident. Officers located a handgun in his possession at the time, and collected it as evidence.
James Hampton was booked for his arrest warrant for PC 187 – Murder.
