California Governor Gavin Newsom didn’t make any public appearances following the election voting results on Tuesday, but he did tweeted via Twitter, “Across the country, Republicans are attacking our fundamental rights as Americans. Destroying democracy, stripping a woman of the right to choose, and standing idly by as gun violence claims far too many lives. CA is the antidote — leading with compassion, common-sense and science. Treasuring diversity, defending democracy, and protecting our planet. Here’s to continuing that fight.”

This latest victory comes just months after California Governor Gavin Newsom survived a recall election effort against him in September 2021.

Following the election voting results on Tuesday, State Senator Brian Dahle tweeted a statement via Twitter, “Thank you, California. We are now moving forward to fight for the future. Tonight changes everything. In the coming weeks, I will give Californians a clear vision of a prosperous California. Californians are reeling from bad policies that are making it impossible to afford to live here. People who work by the hour, or live on a fixed income are being crushed. California energy policies make everything cost more. We deserve a safe California where the laws are enforced and violent criminals are not let out early. Not building any water infrastructure for decades, forcing us to ration and skyrocketing food costs is a travesty. The choice will be clear, and I believe Californians will unite for a better future.”

Brian Dahle has served as a state senator since 2019, covering the California districts of El Dorado, Alpine, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra and Siskiyou counties as well as roughly 10% of Sacramento County, including Fair Oaks, Folsom, Gold River and Orangevale.

Prior to his time in the state senator and legislature’s upper chamber, the Brian Dahle served in the State Assembly from 2012 to 2019, including a stint as minority leader from 2017 to 2018.

Congratulations and good luck in November 2022 to both candidates for California Governor.
