Needles, California: The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station has released publicly information regarding a man from Mohave Valley, Arizona arrested during a traffic stop along Needles Highway that occurred on Monday, December 27th, 2021 for grand theft auto and had an outstanding warrant for driving under the influence.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at approximately 6:31 p.m. PST, deputies assigned to the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department conducted an area check near N. K Street and Smokestack reference a stolen vehicle in the area.
Deputies located the vehicle in the 2100 block of Needles Hwy and conducted a felony traffic stop. A records check confirmed the vehicle was stolen and the driver, Dario Quintana, was detained. Through investigation, Quintana was found to be in violation of CVC 10851, Grand Theft Auto and had an outstanding warrant for Driving Under the Influence. Quintana was consequently arrested and booked into the Colorado River Station jail with a bail amount of $75,000.00. Quintana remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department awaiting a court hearing.
