Downtown Needles, California: The Needles Chamber of Commerce held a tree lighting ceremony of the Needles Community Memorial Christmas Tree on Saturday, December 4th, 2021.

People came together as a community for the lighting of the community memorial tree, located at the corner of West Broadway and G Street, all decorated in lights and tree ornaments put up from the community in memory of loved ones and veterans.

The Needles Chamber of Commerce’s Needles Community Memorial Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony was broadcasted live at ZachNews on Facebook.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 404 Commander and Needles Chamber of Commerce President George DeLeon who welcomed everybody to this year’s tree lighting, followed by the Needles High School Matching Band performing several songs including Christmas songs, and the lighting of the community memorial tree.

After the lighting of the community memorial tree, members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 404 conducted the a gun salute and played TAPS in memorial of loved ones and veterans who’ve passed away.

Many thanks to the Needles Chamber of Commerce, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 404 and the Needles High School Matching Band for putting together the lighting of the community memorial tree, and thanks to the community for attending the annual tradition that brings people together as a community for the Christmas and Holidays season.
