Colorado River Tri-State: The National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada has issued a Wind Advisory in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. PST (from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. MST) on Wednesday, November 24th, 2021 for the areas in Arizona, Lake Havasu and Fort Mohave and Lake Mead National Recreation Area, in California, San Bernardino County-
Upper Colorado River Valley, and in Nevada, Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
Communities include Lake Havasu City, Desert Hills, Topock, Bullhead City, Oatman, Mohave Valley, Needles, Hoover Dam, and Laughlin
According to the National Weather Service, north winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph expected.
In addition, the National Weather Service said strong north winds over the open waters will make the lake water rough and hazardous, and may result in high waves which may tip or swamp smaller craft, gusty winds could
blow around unsecured objects, and tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
According to the National Weather Service, precautionary/preparedness actions includes use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle, and secure outdoor objects.
