***** Please view the live broadcast posted at ZachNews on Facebook for what was mentioned during Needles City Attorney’s Report, Needles City Manager’s Report and Needles City Council Requests. *****

During Needles City Council Request, Needles City Manager Rick Daniels has confirmed to members of the Needles City Council that there is a signed lease on a new grocery store.

When asked by Needles City Council Member Ellen Campbell on any updates regarding a grocery store coming into the community, Needles City Manager Rick Daniels said, “On the grocery store, there’s a signed lease so we’re expecting that announcement to come shortly on construction schedule.”

Also during Needles City Council Request, Needles City Council Member Zachery Longacres spoke and apologized for something that occurred well attending the 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat held on Saturday, October 30th, 2021 near Santa Fe Park and El Garces Train Depot.

“Two weekends ago I showed up at a Trunk or Treat straight from Hollywood – I was working. I’d showed up at the Trunk or Treat in my work van and in my work clothes. Probably not the best idea now that I think about it. It caused some, it caused some conflict. I remedied the situation immediately, and it won’t happened against; I’m sorry I offended anyone or their children. Thank you,” said Needles City Council Member Zachery Longacres.

Zachery Longacres was reportedly spotted at the 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat at a booth for Mojave Cannabis in his work van and clothes, which offended some people because it had advertisment for the cannabis company.

During past holiday events, some cannabis advertising related to cannabis dispensaries have been spotted as employees give out toys and candies as well as bring motorcycle entertaining, all for families and children who thanked those employees for giving.
