Needles, California: Looking for a job that helps care for people’s health in the community, Colorado River Medical Center located at 1401 Bailey Avenue is seeking to hire a Director Of Health Information Management.
- DIRECTOR OF HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT – JOB DUTIES:
The Director of Health Information Management has the authority and responsibility of directing, planning, coordinating, and administering the medical records program of the hospital; supervising and managing department operations; and is directly responsible for supervising the Medical Record Analysts/Coders, and Medical Records Clerk. The Director of Health Information Management is also the Privacy Officer of the Hospital and is required to provide guidance and instruction to the hospital employees. Provides leadership by working cooperatively and effectively with staff and other administrative and support personnel in maintaining the standards of professional behavior in the multidisciplinary acute care setting and other duties as assigned.
Processes Medical Staff Applications and Re-appointment Applications. Maintains the providers credentialing file and quality file. Takes minutes at various meetings as needed.
The Director of Health Information Management reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and ultimately to the Chief Executive Officer.
*** Job Requirements: ***
- Health Information Technician (RHIT) and/or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
- Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role; prefer healthcare setting in acute care.
- Must have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Salary: Depends on experience
SHIFTS/HOURS: 40 hours per week
