Homer, California: Crash involving a pickup truck with trailer and another pickup along westbound Interstate 40 just west of Mountain Springs Road.

Initial crash was reported at 6:26 p.m. PT on Monday, November 1st, 2021 of a Ford Ranger lost control and trailer flipped upside down when trying to correct trailer blue Toyota Tacoma crashed into pickup truck.

California Highway Patrol initial reported the crash was east of Mountain Springs Road, including their map of the location of the crash, but California Highway Patrol is saying now its west of Mountain Springs Road, which Caltrans map shows heavy traffic west of the Mountain Springs Road bridge before the crash.

San Bernardino County Fire District Station 32 and Medical Ambulance 31 are on scene.

California Highway Patrol is reporting that an off duty fire out at the scene with 2 patients; 1 in critical condition will need airship.

As of 7:00 p.m. PT, Careflight 6 is responding to the scene. The incident is being called “Goffs I.C.”

As of 7:10 p.m. PT, Medial Engine 32 asking for another medical helicopter to respond.

As of 7:18 p.m. PT, all lanes of westbound Interstate 40 is closed.

As of 7:20 p.m. PT, Careflight 6 has landed at the scene.

As of 7:50 p.m. PT, Medial Engine 32 telling Comm-Center that Careflight 6 has taken off from the scene with one patient to UMC Las Vegas.

As of 7:59 p.m. PT, Native 8 has landed at the scene.

As of 8:13 p.m. PT, Medial Engine 32 telling Comm-Center that Native Air 8 has taken off from the scene with second patient to UMC Las Vegas. California Highway Patrol reports all lanes of westbound Interstate 40 should be reopened soon.

As of 8:19 p.m. PT, Medial Engine 32 telling Comm-Center that “Goffs I.C.” has been terminated.

As of 8:23 p.m. PT, Medical Ambulance 31 telling Comm-Center that another patient is being transported to C.R.M.C. Needles.

As of 8:28 p.m. PT, Careflight 6 has landed at U.M.C. Las Vegas.

As of 8:49 p.m. PT, Medical Ambulance 31 telling Comm-Center that they have arrived at C.R.M.C. Needles.

As of 8:50 p.m. PT, Native Air 8 has landed at U.M.C. Las Vegas.
