Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station’s Marine Enforcement Unit received an award for their work during Operation Dry Water 2021 at an awards ceremony during the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) Annual Conference on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

According to the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators, the 2021 Operation Dry Water Small Category Top Agency is awarded to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department from the state of California.

The award was presented during the 2021 NASBLA Annual Conference to Deputy Eric Blackard from the Colorado River Station located in Needles, California.

Over the course of the three-day heightened enforcement weekend, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department deployed three officers who made 17 boating under the influence arrests.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station is dedicated to providing a safe boating atmosphere for the public and urges everyone to boat sober and wear their life jackets.
