Homer, California: A crash involving a semi truck that went down a gully has occurred along eastbound Interstate 40 just east of Water Road.
The incident occurred at 9:43 a.m. PT on Friday, October 8th, 2021 of a semi truck went over the side, and there’s major guardrail damage.
California Highway Patrol reports the driver is out of the semi truck but has lacerations to forehead.
Medical engine 32 from San Bernardino County Fire’ Station 32 as well as Medical Ambulance 31A are responding.
As of 10:12 a.m. PT, Medical Ambulance 31 reports to Comm-Center that semi truck went down a gully and there’s one minor injury; cancel Medical Engine 32 with your discretion.
As of 10:38 a.m. PT, Approximately 75 gallons of fuel leaked/contained under the truck; negative waterways effected, all on dirt shoulder; and unknown who is responding for cleanup but leak stopped.
