Fenner, California: An Overturned semi truck crash has occurred along eastbound Interstate 40 just east of Mountain Springs Road.
The incident came into dispatch at 1:35 a.m. PT on Monday, September 20th, 2021 of an overturned semi truck across both lanes, center divider and right shoulder.
Medical Engine 32 from San Bernardino County Fire Department along with Medical Ambulance 31A are responding.
California Highway Patrol calling for a hard closure for this incident.
As of 2:05 a.m. PT, Medical Ambulance 31A tells Comm-Center single diesel on its side. Comm-Center tells Medical Ambulance 31A that California Highway Patrol advised possible hazmat; leaking diesel fuel.
As of 2:07 a.m. PT, California Highway Patrol reports semi truck blocking all lanes, right shoulder and 25 feet into center divider.
As of 2:14 a.m. PT, Medical Engine 32 tells Comm-Center one delayed patient and no hazmat.
Initial reports from the California Highway Patrol from the RP (Reported Party) that the driver was out and advises “no injury.”
As of 2:18 a.m. PT, A Toe Truck towing service has been called to the incident.
As of 2:27 a.m. PT, Medical Ambulance 31A and Medical Engine 32 have left the incident.
Traffic is beginning to back up along eastbound Interstate 40 to the west of the crash as well as along westbound Interstate 40 as motorists drive by and look at the crash.
Please drive with caution in the area, and use Goffs Road east to U.S. Route 95 south as an alternate route around the closure.
