Essex, California: The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Coroner’s Office has released the identity of the person in a fatal rollover vehicle crash that occurred on Tuesday, June 15th, 2021 along the off ramp to Essex Road from westbound Interstate 40.
The crash was reported at 5:19 a.m. PT of a white Sedan that rolled over along the right shoulder of the off ramp.
Minutes later over the scanner, a deputy arrives on scene and tells Comm-Center major damage, single vehicle, and “DOA” (Dead On Arrival); canceled Medical Ambulance 31.
Medical Engine 32 from San Bernardino County Fire Department’s Station 32 in Needles, California continue response and arrived to help with get access into the vehicle.
In a press release posted publicly moments ago, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Coroner’s Office confirmed the identity of the person who died and provide additional information regarding the fatal crash.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Coroner’s Office, “at 5:19 a.m. PT, a 911 call was received reporting a single vehicle rollover collision between the westbound lanes of Interstate 40 and the westbound Essex Road offramp. Emergency personnel responded to find 23 year old Jace Gomula, a resident of San Fernando, California, deceased in his vehicle.”
The California Highway Patrol’s Needles Office in Needles, California is investigating the incident.
