Fenner, California: Several semi trucks on fire along eastbound Interstate 40 near Water Road.

This report of the crash came into dispatch at 3:14 p.m. PT on Tuesday, June 8th, 2021 just west of Water Road

San Bernardino County Fire Department and Mohave Valley Fire Department is responding to this incident well handling structure fires in Goffs, California and another semi truck crash to the east of Water Road along eastbound Interstate 40 that occurred earlier in the afternoon.

California Highway Patrol reports three semi trucks are involved with two of them on fire.

As of 6:34 p.m. PT, California Highway Patrol reports at least 3 to 4 semi trucks involved and on fire.

As of 6:57 p.m. PT, California Highway Patrol reports fully involved fire, firefighters still working on fire.

As of 6:58 p.m. PT, California Highway Patrol reports request for A&G Towing Service to respond.

As of 7:30 p.m. PT, California Highway Patrol reports traffic stopped along westbound Interstate 40 for airship landing.

As of 7:54 p.m. PT, scanner communications reports another airship is responding to the scene.

As of 7:53 p.m. PT, the San Bernardino County Fire Department reports there was 3 semi trucks involved.

According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, firefighters arrived on-scene to find multiple semis on fire with two patients with major injuries.

A request for medical helicopters was called, and two medical helicopters arrived for transport.

As of 7:57 p.m. PT, Careflight about to take off to hospital.

As of 8:04 p.m. PT, Careflight has taken off to hospital in Nevada.

As of 8:22 p.m. PT, California Highway Patrol reports reports lane of westbound Interstate 40 reopen.

As of 8:42 p.m. PT, California Highway Patrol reports reroute traffic off onto Goffs Road.

As of 12:25 a.m. PT Wednesday, California Highway Patrol reports lots of backed up traffic from fire detour are going into oncoming lanes or making unsafe u turns.
