California: Governor Gavin Newsom announced that people ages 50 and over starting April 1 and everybody over age 16 starting April 15 will be eligible for COVID-19 vaccination.

The announcement occurred during a press conference held on Thursday, March 25th, 2021 in Orange County, California highlighting the state’s efforts to ramp up vaccinations, especially in the most hard-to-reach communities.
According to the Office of the Governor of California Gavin Newsom, California is expanding the list of people who are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccination, opening it up to everyone over the age of 50 starting April 1, it was announced Thursday.
The governor also announced that everyone over the age of 16 will be able to receive a shot starting April 15 based on an expected increase in vaccine supply, which up until now has been limited.
