Washington, District of Columbia: The United States Congress on Thursday, January 7th, 2021 has finalized the Electoral College certifying Joe Biden as President and Kamala Harris as Vice President of the United States of America.
The House and Senate certified the electoral college win hours after mob of pro-Trump extremists stormed the United States Capitol on Wednesday, January 6th, 2021 as the United States Congress began reviewing the Electoral College votes.
Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump for the President of the United States of America by 306-232 electoral votes and will be inaugurated Jan. 20.
Moments ago, Donald Trump has issued the following statement saying that there will be an “orderly” transfer of power.
“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th. I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again,” Donald Trump said in his statement.
