Downtown Needles, CA: Lifting up spirits and bringing joy to local families during Set Free Church of Needles’ 9th Annual Christmas Toy Store and Christmas in Santa Fe Park.

Downtown Needles, California: Set Free Church of Needles held their 9th Annual Christmas Toy Store and Christmas in Santa Fe Park on Sunday, December 20th, 2020 at Santa Fe Park.

Local families lined up along the El Garces Train Depot to get a free Christmas dinners of either turkey or ham with all of the important fixings including pie, and to get new unwrapped toys and gifts for their kids of all ages.

During the event, live music from the Set Free Band uplifted people with songs of Christmas and about Jesus, and Pastor Marty Souter spoke about the ultimate gift to the people, God’s love and choosing Jesus to come into your life.

Raffle tickets were handed out to families and their kids to win awesome prizes, including computer tablets, hoverboards, scooters, bicycles and more.

During the raffle, a girl so excited for winning a tablet, she began to tear up and gave a big hug to Cheree Souter; a moment in which a child is so very thankful for the gift thanks to great people in the community, it had us all feeling happy with tears as well.

Another great moment during the raffle was when a boy won a prize but instead of picking a prize for himself, he picked a prize for his little cousin; an act of kindness and giving to others brought around of applause from the crowd.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus stopped by Santa Fe Park to take pictures with the good boys and girls well their parents were inside the Community Hall picking the right new unwrapped toys and gifts for their kids.

Overall, the event uplifted and brought joy to local families for Christmas, even bring tears of joy and giving to others.

Thanks to all of the people who purchased and donated the Christmas dinners and new unwrapped toys, and everybody who participated and volunteered for the event.
