Needles, California: The Needles Board of Public Utilities held a meeting inside the Needles City Council Chambers on Tuesday, November 17th, 2020.

The Needles Board of Public Utilities Meeting was broadcast live at ZachNews on Facebook.

The City of Needles wants to remain the public that the Needles Board of Public Utilities is continuing to hold meetings pursuant to the provisions of the Governor’s Executive Order N-29-20 which suspends certain requirements of the Ralph M. Brown Act.

As a result of the California’s Executive Order to “Stay-At-Home”, the City of Needles said that in person participation at the Needles Board of Public Utilities meetings is not allowed at this time and the Needles City Council Chambers are not open to the public.

Needles City Manager Rick Daniels introduce Chris Brooks who is the electrical engineer that we’re bringing on board as a consultant; his top projects are the Park Moabi Line, the substation that’s already been paid for over near Spikes Road from the cannabis and solar shade structure at possibly Needles City Hall, as well as some Cal Osha compliance items. Chris is licensed in 28 states, including in California and Arizona; Chris also works for the Fort Mohave Indian Tribe, and worked for Westinghouse (Electric Corporation), ABB, and consulting firm in the Fort Colllins, Colorado area (Just to name a few).

Members of the Needles Board of Public Utilities voted unanimously to approve Agenda Items #1 and #2, and pulled for more information Agenda Item #3 on the Consent Calendar.

After more information was provided, members of the Needles Board of Public Utilities unanimously voted to approve Agenda Item #3; authorizing revenues of $247,102 received from the sale of surplus Needles Public Utility Authority (NPUA) property generally located at 100 and 110 Marina Drive identified as Assessor’s Parcel No. 0186-021-15 into the NPUA general revenue account.
