Downtown Needles, CA: Spooks, sweets and bring joy to kids for Halloween 2020.

Downtown Needles, California: There were spooks and sweets being brought onto kids for Halloween 2020 on Saturday, October 31st, 2020 in the small Colorado River desert community along historic Route 66.

Trunks were decorated along Front Street for a Trunk or Treat event Saturday afternoon.

Kids got to get candy and other goodies along their way from the many trunks for vehicles that lined the street, including trunks representing Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, Colorado River Medical Center, Needles Senior Center, Firehouse Ministries, Circle K, Fusion Concepts dock builder and the Needles Chamber of Commerce just to name a few.

Near the concern of Front Street and G Street, paramedics from Baker Emergency Medical Services and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department’s Station 32 were seen passing out candy to kids well across the way a deputy with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station were seen passing out candy to kids.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, organizers for the Trunk or Treat event reminded attendees to wear face masks and social distance from each other well they enjoy the event.

As evening arrived, more Halloween fun begun in Santa Fe Park as Set Free Church of Needles kicked off Night of Light with music, custom contest giveaways and inspiring message about Jesus.

Kids who won the custom contest received new scooters from Set Free Church of Needles.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, organizers from Set Free Church of Needles reminded attendees to wear face masks and social distance from each other well they enjoy the event.

As night fell, Set Free Church of Needles brought the spooks with their Mystery Mansion held inside the El Garces.

People lined up to get inside the decorated east end of the historic Harvey House and train depot building.

The cast of characters spooked those who dare to enter the Mystery Mansion with scary monsters and guy with a chainsaw hiding around the corners, but not to worry for those who got a bit too scared and mention Jesus, the spooking monsters were spooked away giving a safe path to the light.

At the end of the day, kids were happy to be able to dress up and received sweet treats well their family were happy that they’re kids had fun thanks to many great people who adapted their events to the current COVID-19 situation so to bring joy to kids on Halloween 2020.
