Washington, District of Columbia: The United States Senate has confirmed Judge Amy Coney Barrett as United States Supreme Court Justice late on Monday, October 26th, 2020.
The confirmation came in a vote of 52-48 to install United States President Donald Trump’s nominee.
The vote is the closest high court confirmation ever to a presidential election and the first in modern times with no support from the minority party.

Amy Coney Barrett is 48, and her lifetime appointment as the 115th justice will solidify the court’s rightward tilt.
With Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation assured, United States President Donald Trump is expected to celebrate with a primetime swearing-in event at the White House.
Justice Clarence Thomas is reportedly set to administer the Constitutional Oath tonight.
