Mohave County, Arizona: The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office would like to inform the community of a scam that has increased in popularity recently.

Over the last few weeks, multiple reports have been taken in regards to individuals receiving letters and/or debit cards for unemployment benefits that they did not apply for.

The letters are usually addressed to someone else using the recipients’ address.

The Department of Economic Security requests if any of these letters or debit cards are received, do not activate these cards and contact their fraud line at: 1 (800) 251-2436 or contact them online at: https://fraudreferralexternal.azdes.gov/
