Needles, California: The boil water order that was issued for the areas of Colorado Shores, Chesney Subdivision and Verde Shores has been cancelled on Thursday, October 8th, 2020.

The boil water order was issued in the afternoon of Monday, October 5th, 2020 after a water line leak and sinkhole occurred underneath Fairway Drive near River Road.

In a press release sent to ZachNews from the City of Needles, “On October 5, 2020 you were notified of the need to boil/disinfect all tap water used for drinking and cooking purposes.
The Needles Public Utility Authority Water System in conjunction with the State Water Resources Control Board, and/or Local Environmental Health Jurisdiction, has determined that, through abatement of the health hazard and comprehensive testing of the water, your water is safe to drink. It is no longer necessary to boil your tap water or for you to consume bottled water.”
