Needles, California: Firefighters have put out small vegetation fire along a flood control access road just south of Eagle Pass Road.
The call of a vegetation fire came in at around 10:03 p.m. PT on Sunday, October 4th, 2020.
Initial reports over the scanner that the vegetation fire was near Needles High School at 1600 Washington Street, but that location was updated to off Eagle Pass Road.
Firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department Station 32 and Station 18 responded to the scene with a medical engine, medical brush patrol and a water tender trucks.
Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station also responded near the scene just southwest of the Active Towing yard and in the parking lot area at Needles High School.
Firefighters remain on scene putting out any flare-ups and soaking down the burnt vegetation.
The vegetation fire was put out at around 1:20 a.m. PT on Monday, October 5th, 2020.
No structures were threatened or damaged during the vegetation fire.
The cause of the vegetation fire is under investigation.
