Bullhead City, Arizona: Bullhead City Fire Department’s Captain Jeff Jackson and Engineer Kenny Read has been sent out on Tuesday, August 18th, 2020 to join several others firefighters battling the Ridge Fire in the Hualapai Mountains about five miles south of Pine Lake.

The fire broke out in the evening of Sunday, August 16th, 2020 from a lightning strike.

According to InciWeb, the fire has burned 85 acres, about 100 firefighters are battling the fire and the fire is not threatening any homes or structures.

The Bullhead City Fire Department would like to remind members of the public that one of the most important things you can do to help during the 2020 is to do your part to prevent human-caused fires.

Fewer human-caused fires will not only help communities but will also preserve firefighting resources.
