Needles, California: The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station has released publicly information regarding an arrest of a suspect that set on fire a tent to a homeless United States Army veteran late on Wednesday, July 29th, 2020.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at 11:30 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department, along with San Bernardino County Fire Department, responded to a fire in the area of Hospitality Lane and Flip Mendez Street in Needles.
Investigation showed the fire was intentionally set and Bastian Sanchez was identified as the suspect who set the fire.
Sanchez was contacted on Monday, August 4, 2020 and after being interviewed was arrested for arson.
Sanchez was booked into the Colorado River Station jail with a bail set at $50,000.
