Mohave Valley, Arizona: Smoke was seen coming from the area of the Threemile Fire along Dike Road on Monday, July 28th, 2020.
Several calls and messages began coming into ZachNews late Monday afternoon wondering if the Threemile Fire restored or another vegetation fire was happening.
ZachNews has learned from the Mohave Valley Fire Department that firefighters are doing “Burn Outs” along Dike Road near the area where the fire began on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2020 from a motorhome fire.
Burn Out is setting fire inside a control line to widen it or consume fuel between the edge of the fire and the control line.
According to the Mohave Valley Fire Department, the initial fire is at 100 percent contained, no change in the acreage which was at 198 acres, no reports of injuries or no strictures were damaged in the fire, and the burn outs occurred during the day on Monday until stopping for the evening.
The Mohave Valley Fire Department wants the community to know that the burn outs may continue on Tuesday.
Great work and many thanks to all of the firefighters, emergency personnel, law enforcement and emergency volunteers including from the Rehab Unit for Mohave Valley Fire Department.
