Arizona: Governor Doug Ducey signed on Thursday, July 16th, 2020 an Executive Order extending a moratorium on residential evictions until the end of October 2020.

In a statement posted on Facebook, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey said, “I’ve signed an Executive Order extending a moratorium on residential evictions until October 31, 2020, providing continued protections for renters who are facing economic hardship as a result of #COVID19. With more than $80 million available in state and local rental assistance, we’re also providing $650,000 for community action agencies to increase staffing to help these programs get resources out to families and individuals faster. This week, we announced nearly $6 million for organizations that combat homelessness and help ensure families and individuals stay in their homes. Today we’re also announcing $250,000 for Chicanos Por La Causa Statewide Housing Program, which finds housing for homeless individuals. This order ensures renters impacted by COVID-19 will be able to stay in their homes while extending the time to access assistance programs. We’re also adding $5 million in financial assistance to individuals who rely on income from tenants to help them avoid foreclosure. We’ll continue working with our partners at the county and local levels to make resources and assistance available for all those impacted by COVID-19.”
