Needles, CA: Deputies arrested man from Los Angeles for DUI and proceeded to assault and threaten deputies during his arrest.

Needles, California: The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station has released publicly information regarding deputies arrested man from Los Angeles for DUI and proceeded to assault and threaten deputies during his arrest that occurred on Thursday, July 2nd, 2020.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at 2:25 a.m. deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police responded to a report of a vehicle on the Needles Golf Course.

Upon arrival, Macias was found operating the vehicle and was believed to be under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested for CVC 23152a/b – Driving Under the Influence.

Subsequent to his arrest Macias assaulted and threatened deputies and was additionally charged with PC69 – Threaten or Assault Executive Officer.

Macias was transported and booked at the Colorado River Station jail where he was held on $25,000 bail.
