Needles, California: The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station has released publicly information regarding deputies arrested man for possession of a controlled substance for sale that occurred on Thursday, July 2nd, 2020.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at about 10:50 a.m., Deputies from the Colorado River Sheriff’s station / Needles Police arrived at an apartment in the 1000 block of Lillyhill Drive in Needles to conduct a probation compliance check on Israel Hancock. Hancock was on formal adult probation and subject to search.

Hancock was contacted at the front door. He attempted to slam the door on deputies but was unsuccessful and he was detained. A search of his apartment was conducted, and controlled substances and evidence of drug sales were located. Hancock was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sales and resisting or delaying a peace officer. He was booked into jail at the High Desert Detention Center and is being held on $50,000 bail.
