Fort Mohave, Arizona: Silent Witness has increased the reward money in seeking the public’s help regarding a shooting that occurred from a vehicle towards a Mohave County Sheriff’s Deputy who was conducting a traffic stop on Sunday, June 21st, 2020.
According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 11:56 PM, a Deputy with the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle near S. Calle Ranchita and E. Camino Viejo in Fort Mohave.
An occupant of the involved vehicle opened fire on the Deputy, striking the Deputy’s vehicle multiple times.
The vehicle fled after the shooting occurred and has not been located as of this time.
The Deputy was not injured during the shooting.
Mohave Silent Witness originally offered a reward of $750 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
Mohave Silent Witness has now increased the reward amount to $2,000.
The Mohave Silent Witness group is a non-profit organization dedicated to the apprehension of wanted suspects through the posting of rewards.
Reward money is raised through fund raisers and private donations. The group is managed and operated by an independent board, separate from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
